We want to use this medium to wish our esteem and still growing community a very Happy New Year. We reiterate that at GizmoAlpha, it’s all about tech, and guess what guys, we really don’t have holidays. For us, every day is a workday and every day is also a holiday. While we are basking in the euphoria of 2021, something big is going on between two Chinese giants. We are talking about Huawei and Tencent. The latest is that Huawei delists Tencent games from its platform…but why?

Huawei - Tencent Fued

Early this morning, the Huawei Game Center community issued an announcement that Tencent Games unilaterally made major changes to the cooperation between the two parties at 17:57 on December 31, 2020. These changes are now causing some significant obstacles to the cooperation between the two parties.

Huawei delists Tencent games – Both companies are in negotiations

In order to make a cautious assessment, Huawei had to suspend relevant cooperation in accordance with Tencent’s unilateral request and remove Tencent games from the Huawei platform. However, it appears that both companies are in active negotiations.

Tencent Games responded that due to the failure to renew the contract between Huawei’s mobile game platform and our “Mobile Game Promotion Project Agreement”, related products of Tencent Games were suddenly removed from the shelves early this morning.

At present, Tencent is actively communicating and negotiating with Huawei’s mobile gaming platform, and strive to recover as soon as possible. The gaming company apologizes for the inconvenience that this is causing its users.

According to insiders, both companies are yet to negotiate the game download share ratio. This is the major reason for Huawei’s removal of Tencent games.
