Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo held two launch events yesterday and today where it released a couple of smartphones. In its yesterday event, the company released the much-rumored Vivo X60 series which comes with Samsung’s latest Exynos 1080 Soc. This series has three models including Vivo X60, X60 Pro, and X60 Pro+. However, only the Vivo X60 and the Pro model launched yesterday (December 29th). The Vivo X60 Pro+ will be official in January 2021. In addition, the company also released the Vivo Y20 2021 today (December 30th) which is a budget smartphone.
Presently, all smartphone makers are trying to make an impact with their new releases. For Vivo, the X60 series is the thinnest 5G in the industry as of now. These smartphones come with a center punch-hole camera while the rear camera is on the top-left corner.
This smartphone comes with a 6.56-inch AMOLED with FHD+ resolution and it has a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by Exynos 1080 SoC that is made on a 5nm process. Vivo X60 packs a triple camera setup at the back with a 48MP primary camera with OIS support, a 13MP ultrawide camera, and a 13MP portrait camera with 2x optical zoom. On the front side, there is a 32MP f/2.45 selfie camera. The smartphone runs on Android 11 along with a new OriginOS user interface out of the box. Vivo X60 has a 4300 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. In connectivity options, the phone includes an in-display fingerprint scanner, Dual-SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, USB Type-C, and face unlock.
Vivo X60 Pro
This smartphone is similar to the regular Vivo X60 but it comes with a bigger battery and better cameras. Under the hood, it uses a 4200 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. In the camera department, it comes with a quad rear camera setup. The configuration includes a 48MP main sensor that supports 4-axis gimbal-like video image stabilization. It also comes with a 13MP ultrawide camera (120-degree angle), 13MP telephoto camera, and 8MP periscope camera that supports 5x optical zoom and 60x superzoom. On the front of the Pro model, it uses a 32 MP camera.
Price and Availablity
This series is currently available for pre-order but actual shipping will start from January 8, 2020. According to the company, the Vivo X60 series will enter Europe and India in the future. See the prices of these devices below

Vivo Y20 (2021)
The Vivo Y20 (2021) smartphone is a budget device that the Chinese manufacturer released for the Malaysian market today (December 30th). This device comes with a huge 6.51-inch IPS screen with HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Under the hood, we have the Helio P35 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This device comes with a large 5000 mAh battery that supports 10W charging. On the software end, it comes with FunTouch OS on top of Android 10.
In the camera department, this smartphone uses a triple rear camera setup. The main camera is a 13MP sensor and it also has two 2MP sensors (one is macro and the other for portrait). On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera.
Other features in this smartphone include a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a fingerprint scanner on the right side of the device, and a 3.5mm mini-jack. This smartphone has a dimension of 164.41 x 76.32 x 8.41 mm and weighs 192 grams.
For its price, the Vivo Y20 (2021) costs 599 Malaysian ringgit or $148. It is available in two colors: white and blue.
